Job Description Summary Greystar is seeking a Temporary Leasing Professional for a large community in Spokane Valley. The role involves coordinating marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals. The Leasing Professional is responsible for leasing new residents, ensuring resident satisfaction during the lease term, and securing lease renewals.
What Your Day Might Look Like
Conduct prospect building and apartment tours, including virtual leasing and in‑person tours
Ensure a stellar move‑in experience for customers
Perform market research on comps for marketing and advertising purposes
Plan and execute community events
Follow up with prospects by phone and email
Utilize social media and internet platforms to market available units
Assist in lease renewals
Respond to resident concerns
What We Are Looking For
Previous sales and customer service experience desired; a positive can‑do attitude is required
Proficient in MS Office Suite; knowledge of property management software (Yardi/One Site) desired but not required
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, write, and complete legal documents and explain apartment features
Professionalism in manner and dress
Essential Responsibilities
Perform all sales and leasing activities to achieve revenue and occupancy goals, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting community tours, processing applications, credit screening, background checks, preparing leases, and overseeing smooth move‑in and lease signing
Inspect apartments before move‑in to ensure they are ready and coordinate repairs with maintenance
Stay informed about market and competitor conditions; develop and implement marketing plans to sustain occupancy
Design and execute marketing activities, including resident referral and employer outreach programs, internet marketing tools (Craigslist, Facebook, e‑mail, etc.), and community‑specific campaigns
Use on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record traffic, manage resident and prospect data, and capture critical demographics
Maintain show unit standards, daily inspect marketing corridor, communicate maintenance needs, merchandise show units and model, and prepare leasing office for daily activities
Follow up with prospects and new residents to ensure satisfaction via email, thank‑you notes, cards, or phone calls to finalize leasing decisions
Support the lease renewal program by preparing renewal letters and packages, meeting with renewing residents in advance of move‑out dates, and ensuring timely signing
Respond promptly and courteously to residents and client/owner concerns; take action to resolve issues or convey requests to appropriate parties
Required Licenses or Certifications
All state and local licenses and certifications as required
Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, crawl in confined areas
Work inside and outside in all weather conditions
Push, pull, lift, carry weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
Travel may be required for training or other business needs
Work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Additional Compensation
Base salary plus eligibility for quarterly or annual bonus (Corporate Positions) or weekly, monthly, or quarterly bonus programs (Onsite Property Positions)
