Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Research Finance Specialist to manage accounts and incoming payments, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role involves performing day‑to‑day financial transactions, including the verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of accounts receivable data. You will also prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits, reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, and resolve client billing issues.

Responsibilities

Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Perform day‑to‑day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.

Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.

Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.

Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

Essential Skills

Strong reconciliation skills.

Previous experience in clinical research.

Understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.

Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Data entry skills with a knack for numbers.

Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full‑scale ER software).

Proficiency in English and MS Office.

Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

Minimum of a high school diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Peoplesoft, Clinical Conductor, and Excel.

Experience with collections in accounts receivable.

Work Environment This position offers the opportunity to work remotely with one of the nation's top hospital and research systems. The role requires proficiency in clinical trial management systems and a strong customer service orientation.

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
