Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Cheboygan, MI 49721
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be
$14.00 to $16.00
depending on your skills and experience.
We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between
3–10 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement:
Utilizing a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for communication, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
Holiday support:
During seasonal demand periods—Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas—expect additional days and extended hours. May be required to work on the actual holiday or during weekends.
Department resets:
Occasionally part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance. May include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. Must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Read, write, and understand English.
Capability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
