The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office is Florida’s award-winning, state-funded child advocacy organization. With more than 10,000 staff and volunteers, which includes more than 180 attorneys, its primary focus is the representation of Florida’s abused, neglected, and abandoned children. Responsibilities
The Volunteer Recruiter position is a highly results-oriented, independent role responsible for volunteer and pro bono recruiting, training, and community outreach activities on behalf of the Circuit Guardian ad Litem Office in collaboration with the Office’s recruitment teams. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Ensure compliance with statewide administrative and operational standards, policies, procedures, and initiatives to facilitate consistent circuit and statewide representation for children, focusing on volunteer management.
Recruit, screen, train, and retain volunteers and pro bono attorneys to serve on a multi-disciplinary Guardian ad Litem team.
Assist in recruiting and screening mentors for youth aging out of the foster care system.
Develop and execute a circuit-wide recruiting plan to maximize the number and quality of volunteers and pro bono attorneys.
Collaborate with volunteer recruitment teams on recruitment plans and marketing strategies.
Deliver recruiting and community education programs through various channels, including public speaking, publications, and social media, aligned with the Office\'s Branding policies.
Maintain a social media presence for the circuit in coordination with the Director of Communications and the Circuit Director.
Build and maintain relationships with community partners to identify and recruit volunteers and pro bono attorneys.
Maintain documentation in the Office\'s database on prospective candidates and ensure background checks and applications meet statutory and policy requirements.
Track recruiting efforts monthly in accordance with Office policy.
Attend recruiting seminars and community events as required; assist with screening and training of volunteers and coordinating training sessions for staff and volunteers.

Experience in interviewing, screening, selecting, and training volunteers or staff
Education and Experience Requirements
The following are education and experience requirements for prospective Volunteer Recruiter candidates:
Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in marketing, business, psychology, or communications
Two years of relevant experience in direct sales/marketing or non-profit, community outreach programs involving volunteer recruiting and management
