Job Summary: Cury Design Studio has been a trusted name in luxury coastal design, crafting homes that bring families together, celebrate tradition, and create lasting memories. At CDS, we believe designing a home should be an enjoyable and seamless experience.

From concept to completion, we guide our clients through a collaborative process that blends timeless design with effortless coastal living, ensuring every space reflects the unique way they live, gather, and celebrate life by the shore.

We are seeking a highly skilled, passionate, and organized Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. This role blends in-store and on-site design services with client-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in high‑end residential design, construction coordination, and project management.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day client relations, including in-person meetings, Zoom calls, email, and phone correspondence.

Develop and present design concepts using CAD, SketchUp, and other design software.

Efficiently coordinate and pitch design presentations to clients.

Oversee new home construction and renovations, working closely with builders and subcontractors.

Select and source furniture, lighting, materials, and décor that align with the client's vision, vendor partnerships, and project constraints.

Maintain attention to detail while managing multiple jobs simultaneously.

Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and specifications for contractors and suppliers (digital or hand-rendered).

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor representatives.

Stay current on design trends, sustainability practices, and applicable codes and regulations.

Conduct regular site visits (travel required) to oversee progress, installations, and address design or construction issues.

Deliver engaging client presentations and maintain consistent communication to ensure satisfaction and design alignment.

Job Requirements

Assist in overseeing construction projects from planning through installation, supporting project managers and lead designers.

Excellent time management and organizational skills; capable of multitasking across multiple clients and deadlines.

Experience specifying and coordinating flooring, cabinetry, tile, plumbing fixtures, countertops, and millwork.

Confidence in pitching custom furniture solutions and balancing client aesthetics with budget requirements.

Professional, client-presentable demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in design software (e.g., CAD, SketchUp), Microsoft Office Suite, and general digital literacy.

Comfortable working in a storefront or showroom setting, engaging walk-in clients and offering design advice with the ability to guide clients from retail interaction to full-service design engagement seamlessly.

Reliable vehicle and valid insurance required for off-site meetings and installations.

Enthusiasm for high-end, personalized design and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.

Must be trustworthy, willing to go above and beyond, dependable, and have self-initiative.

Has a strong visual merchandising sensibility and can curate compelling in-store displays that reflect our design style and seasonal trends.
