Location: Guildford GU3 1LP or Hampton TW12 3RA
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time, 20 hours per week
Salary: £16,000 per annum (pro‑rata of full time equivalent £30,000)

About the role
Your key purpose will be to help raise awareness of Shooting Star’s vital work and inspire people to support us. You will manage social media scheduling, contribute to creating engaging content, and play a key role in promoting our fundraising campaigns through both organic and paid social, as well as landing page creation and optimisation, working on all areas of the digital marketing funnel.
You will tailor content to our different social channels, helping us to engage with long‑term supporters, local companies and key decision makers. As well as sharing the stories of the families we support with sensitivity, you will showcase the expert care we provide, and celebrate our dedicated, talented staff – making a real difference through powerful, engaging digital communications.
Responsibilities
Manage social media scheduling and calendars.
Create engaging content for multiple platforms.
Promote fundraising campaigns via organic and paid social.
Develop and optimise landing pages.
Execute the full digital marketing funnel.
Tailor content to specific social channels.
Engage supporters, local companies and decision makers.
Share family stories with sensitivity and showcase expert care.
Celebrate staff achievements through digital channels.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience running social media accounts (personal or brand).
Knowledge of the latest social media trends.
Experience running paid social media campaigns.
Knowledge of social media management tools.
Website editing skills.
Employment is subject to receipt of satisfactory references and a DBS check.
