Salary: £18,000 per annum (pro‑rated of full‑time equivalent £30,000)

Hours: Part‑time, 22.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hampton, TW12 3RA (Hybrid)

About Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life‑limiting condition, or who have been bereaved. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, we support families across Surrey, north‑west London and south‑west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our community fundraising team. Build relationships and raise funds across the community and catchment, working closely with the Senior Public Fundraising Manager and Head of Supporter Engagement on new and existing fundraising activities. Maintain and develop existing relationships, and work proactively to identify new contacts and opportunities for development. Attend events and meetings throughout the catchment area, including evenings, early mornings or weekends, with additional hours recognised through time off in lieu where appropriate. The role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a car.

About you
Experience in fundraising or an equivalent role, and a strong background in relationship management, customer service and administration. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of the wider fundraising team to support the growth and success of our income. Experience in marketing or sales is welcomed.
