About the Role
The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments in growing and retaining our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies, and attending client and trade‑show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and supporting internal communications.

The Senior Marketing Specialist, Events & Partnerships at PitchBook plays a key role in driving our partnership and conference strategy. This role manages the planning and execution of high‑profile conferences, ensures the fulfillment of partnership agreements, and supports the growth of strategy initiatives that enhance PitchBook’s brand and drive demand generation. The ability to work cross‑functionally between Sales, Customer Success, Data Operations, Institutional Research, and Marketing is critical for this role so that the team builds a cohesive approach to our conference and partnership strategy.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Manage and execute conference and partnership strategy to drive lead generation, pipeline velocity, and strengthen brand position

Oversee vendor relationships for assigned events, including negotiation, budgeting, and on‑site execution

Coordinate with current and potential partners to drive mutual benefit for both parties while working with internal teams to fulfill partnership agreements

Where appropriate with partners, build and maintain limited PitchBook access programs to drive product awareness

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to determine event and program objectives and drive pre and post execution activities

Develop an intimate understanding of the PitchBook brand and culture ensuring brand execution through messaging, design, and overall event experience

Manage communication between Sales and Customer Success to ensure effective event staffing, preparation, and training

Evaluate, measure, and report on the strategic effectiveness of events

Track and manage conference and travel budgets each quarter as aligned with event allocation

Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors

Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Travel requirement: Up to 20% travel

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

3+ years of relevant professional experience in Marketing and Events Management

Ability to work productively across diverse teams in rapidly changing situations. Partnership and collaboration is a fundamental requirement

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and priorities. Detail‑oriented and deadline‑driven

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technically savvy, with experience in Marketo, Salesforce.com, Splash, Zoom, or similar marketing automation programs preferred

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in‑depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation

Annual base salary: $80,000-$90,000

Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an ongoing basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
