Pay Range:
$45/hour - $50/hour . The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Position Overview

Location : Minneapolis, 220 S 6th St, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55402
Hours : 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm CST
Job Description
The Direct Mail Campaign Manager / Project Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end management of direct mail campaigns, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and compliant execution while driving cost efficiency, performance optimization, and continuous process improvement. This role partners closely with creative, strategy, legal/compliance, analytics, and production vendors to deliver high‑quality acquisition and retention campaigns across business lines.
Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Execution — Develop and manage comprehensive direct mail campaign plans, including production schedules and timelines, production matrices and mail plans, lettershop instructions and production requirements, campaign and package specifications, internal approvals and compliance reviews, cost estimates, budget management, invoicing, and reconciliation. Understand mail strategies, testing approaches, offers, and channel coordination. Coordinate mail drops with other marketing channels to ensure integrated execution. Negotiate required and discretionary changes with Legal, Compliance, and internal partners.
Quality Control & Compliance — Review and approve all audits, proofs, and production samples for campaign components. Establish and maintain quality control standards and checkpoints throughout production. Ensure campaigns adhere to regulatory, brand, and operational requirements. Influence and optimize package design decisions to balance cost, timing, performance, and production efficiency. Present cost‑effective package and production alternatives to Creative and Strategy teams. Negotiate pricing and production terms with vendors. Identify opportunities for shared components, gang printing, and cross–business‑line efficiencies. Understand cost per piece (CPP) and its impact on cost per acquisition (CPA). Track, report, and communicate cost savings and operational efficiencies. Initiate requests for bids and quotes; evaluate vendor responses. Manage invoicing, cost tracking, reconciliations, and final billing. Establish, monitor, and manage vendor performance against SLAs. Resolve production issues and hold vendors accountable for quality, cost, and delivery. Leverage scale across business lines and acquisition volume to negotiate favorable pricing. Plan and optimize future campaigns while executing active campaigns simultaneously. Proactively research and evaluate new production technologies and methods. Drive continuous improvements in campaign performance, cost, and operational processes. Identify process gaps and escalate risks or issues as appropriate. Share best practices and learnings with peers and cross‑functional partners.
Enterprise Support & Prioritization — Support bank‑wide initiatives, including supplier diversity, environmental goals, and preferred vendor programs. Prioritize deliverables based on revenue impact and business priorities. Take on special projects outside of day‑to‑day responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal), both internal and external.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions with internal teams and vendors.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and clearly define responsibilities with internal stakeholders.
Technical & Functional Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
2–5 years of direct mail campaign or production experience.
Working knowledge of regulatory disclosures and compliance requirements.
Basic credit, finance, and risk fundamentals.
Name selection and targeting decisioning.
Industry and business‑line‑specific response rates and performance benchmarks.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
