Overview
As an
Retina Ophthalmic Photographer , you will be responsible for documenting ocular disease processes through advanced imaging and diagnostic testing as ordered by the provider. This role plays a critical part in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment by capturing high-quality images and maintaining precise patient records.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
Start time between 7:45 AM – 9:00 AM
8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch
Responsibilities
Escort patients from the waiting area to the photography room in a professional and timely manner
Navigate the EHR/EMR system to verify patient information and accurately upload images and documentation to patient charts
Perform high-quality OCT imaging using Zeiss and Heidelberg equipment
Capture fundus photography using Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos systems
Perform fluorescein angiography (FA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICG) using multiple imaging platforms
Conduct visual field and color vision testing
Record and track patient data using Excel spreadsheets
Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and coordinate with technical support as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Know Required
High school diploma or GED
Experience with Humphrey Visual Fields, OCT imaging, angiography, and fundus photography
Ability to work in low-light environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred
Ophthalmic Technician experience
