Assistant Residence Manager – Role Summary
As an Assistant Residence Manager at Devereux, you will work with dedicated professionals to assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the residence program. You will oversee intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals, partnering with them to facilitate daily care, enhance personal development, foster self‑esteem, and help meet or exceed individualized goals for success.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of the residence program.
Oversee daily care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Partner with residents to enhance personal development, foster self‑esteem, and meet individualized success goals.
Support supervisory duties and develop leadership skills for future house manager positions.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Collaborate with other professionals to deliver high‑quality services.
Qualifications
HS diploma/GED with one year of related experience; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with one year of related experience preferred.
Valid New York driver’s license.
Flexibility, patience, energy, creativity, and sense of humor.
Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.
Location
Eagle Dorm, Red Hook campus, New York.
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
With HS Diploma/GED: $21.50 – $23.00 per hour
With BA/BS: $22.50 – $24.07 per hour
With MA/MS or higher: $23.50 – $25.14 per hour
