Atkinson Collaborative is a full-service interior design firm based in Greenville, South Carolina focusing on Multi-Family, Hospitality (including hotels and restaurants), and Corporate projects. We inspire creativity and curiosity with big ideas brought to life through the application of functional design. We are the consistent thread through the many elements of a project–from space planning and schematics to material and exterior selections, signage, branding, furniture, and overall storytelling.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Interior Designer located in the Greenville, SC area. The Interior Designer will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetic interior spaces by performing tasks such as space planning, developing concepts and implementing through design development, producing construction drawings, and specifying FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment). The role requires close collaboration with architects, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment of design concepts with project goals and requirements.
A person with strong initiative, self-motivation, assuredness in their vision as well as collaboration and teamwork will be a great addition to our team.
Qualifications
Expertise in Interior Design and Space Planning, with a strong ability to balance aesthetics and functionality
Proficiency in creating Construction Drawings and working knowledge of Architecture to support project integration
Skills in selecting and specifying FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) with an understanding of trends and client needs
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with architects, consultants, and clients
Proficiency in Revit
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
Experience in hospitality and branded projects a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines

All designers at ACI interface with clients and are involved in all aspects of project implementation from design conception, development, specification, construction documentation, construction administration and final install of projects, allowing a great sense of autonomy and ownership. Organization and self-motivation are expected as we work in a hybrid set up - part in office, part at home. Continuing education is supported. Additionally, designers attend market, design conferences, awards galas, CEU summits, and other community events as the needs arise.
