Job Description / Responsibilities
Join us in achieving volume and distribution sales goals for our brands across Sazerac's diverse spirits portfolio and connect consumers and brands. As a Market Development Representative you will be the key partner for on‑premise spots—restaurants and bars—in your assigned territory. Your day‑to‑day will involve engaging events, tastings, and promotions that showcase our spirits portfolio and create unforgettable consumer experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
Craft solutions to boost business for assigned accounts and increase market share for Sazerac brands.
Build brands by using consumer and category trends to educate customers, solve challenges, and drive sales.
Lead distributors in supporting in‑outlet selling and execution.
Help achieve volume objectives for our diverse portfolio.
Implement and execute programs that deliver on distribution, merchandising, display, and retail promotional goals.
Develop mutually valuable rapport with assigned customers by understanding their key needs.
Serve as the primary communication lead between key customers, wholesalers, and the internal team.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent achievement of goals.
Job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the alcohol‑beverage or CPG industries; on‑premise experience preferred. New graduates should have a sales/marketing internship or full/part‑time sales role and/or sales competition experience.
Results‑Driven: Proven ability to meet volume objectives and deliver new points of distribution, well placements, menu placements, events, and promotions.
Technical Savvy: Demonstrated success using sales data analytics and tools to drive sales results, identify market trends, and produce measurable outcomes.
Mobility: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Schedule: Flexibility to work non‑traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
Location: Candidate must reside in or near the territory.
Expenses: Ability to cover ordinary and essential business expenses that will be reimbursed.
Compliance: Must obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.
Physical Requirements
Standing for an extended period of time.
Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 35 lbs without assistance.
Ascend or descend stairs.
Ability to drive and visit multiple accounts in one day.
Strong communication skills.

Sazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Benefits vary by location and work type. The annual salary range for this role is $63,000 – $95,000. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations. For roles within the commercial team this range refers only to base salary and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or cell phone reimbursement.
