Job/Department Summary
Working independently under general direction of the Assistant Registrar for Systems, the Functional Lead for Campus Community & Systemwide Reporting oversees ongoing operations and regular maintenance of the Oracle PeopleSoft student information system for both Campus Community and Systemwide Reporting modules. These core components serve as foundational elements of the university’s student information system, in supporting institution-wide data integrity and compliance with mandatory reporting requirements to the CSU Office of the Chancellor. Incumbent manages the testing, review, and implantation of software upgrades and maintenance; conducts research, planning and development for continuous improvement; and issue resolution for the campus related to all functions of each module. This position is responsible for coordinating a variety of campus departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of CSU, Chico student data to the Office of the Chancellor.

The Office of the Registrar is comprised of Articulation, Graduation Advising and Transfer Credit, Degree Audit Programming, Student Records and Registration, Systems, and Veterans Affairs. The office serves as the point of contact for campus staff, faculty, students, and outside agencies on questions related to the student information system operation and the student academic record. Daily operations ensure the accuracy and integrity of the student academic record and registration processes from matriculation through graduation for all students.

Required Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
AND
Four years of relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferences

Evaluating and testing student information system, processes, and procedures.

Working with student academic records in higher education.

Maintaining database software and systems processes.

Using PeopleSoft or similar database applications to administer student records.

CSU Classification Salary Range
$87,408 (Step 1) - $127,332 (Step 20) per year.
