Job Description

The Global Sourcing Engineer is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and services that support manufacturing operations across multiple regions. This role ensures a reliable, and high-quality supply base while mitigating risks and driving supplier performance. The position requires expertise in manufacturing supply chains, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier development.
What You’ll Do

Global Sourcing & Strategy – Develop and implement global procurement strategies for raw materials, components, equipment, and manufacturing services.
Supplier Management – Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers across North America, focusing on cost, quality, capacity & sustainability.
Contract Negotiations – Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, and supply continuity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet technical and operational requirements.
Market Intelligence – Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and geopolitical factors affecting manufacturing supply chains.
Cost Optimization – Drive value engineering and cost-reduction projects without compromising product quality or compliance.
Risk Management – Manage supplier risk, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.
What You’ll Bring

Engineering degree and/or experience are required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with at least 4 years focused on manufacturing supply chains.
Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, materials (metals, plastics, electronics, etc.), and production equipment.
Experience in global sourcing and supplier management, especially North America.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools (SAP, Oracle, SAP, Coupa, etc.).
Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
Ability to travel internationally (20–40%).
