As a Business Innovation Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Peoples Gas operates by leading process improvement, innovation, and change initiatives that deliver measurable value for customers and employees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across the business, and turning ideas into practical, sustainable improvements.
Responsibilities
Lead process improvement and business transformation initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and related methodologies
Analyze current‑state processes and identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience
Plan and facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions with cross‑functional stakeholders
Design and implement new or improved processes, including defining KPIs and operational metrics to measure success
Serve as a subject matter expert for continuous improvement and innovation practices
Develop and execute change enablement strategies that help teams adopt new ways of working with minimal disruption
Use industry benchmarks and best practices to inform recommendations and elevate operational excellence
Build strong partnerships with leaders and frontline team members to embed a culture of innovation

What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a collaborative, analytical, and influential professional who thrives in dynamic environments.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or equivalent)
3 years transformational change experience, including 1 year of direct experience with supporting business processes, transformational change in challenging environments, and assessing productivity and process improvement or continuous improvement projects.
Experience facilitating innovation and process improvement workshops while collaborating with cross‑functional teams
Hands‑on experience facilitating process improvement or innovation workshops
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and exercise sound judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
Certifications such as PMP, Prosci Change Management, or equivalent
Experience with data analytics, virtual collaboration tools, or platforms such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, or Planner
