
UX Copy Writer

Overview
Exciting UX Copywriter opportunity with an established firm. Our client is seeking a UX Copywriter or Content Designer to strategically craft customer-facing surfaces and shape the narrative of digital products. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Brand to reduce friction, build trust, and guide customers through interactions from high-stakes seller flows to tooltips.
This role sits within our client's UX Design team, and you will be a key member of the team driving cohesive, engaging content to improve the customer experience. Contract duration: 6 months plus.
Responsibilities
Strategic Expertise: Contribute to the end-to-end customer experience with tactical content.
Microcopy Mastery: Craft clear functional copy for UI components (buttons, error messages, notifications).
Collaborate Cross Functionally: Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to understand and apply the brand voice in digital products.
User Advocacy and Empathy: Use data and research to understand customer pain points and opportunities; anticipate frustration and guide customers with copy.
Accessibility & Inclusion: Ensure content is legible and accessible for all users by meeting WCAG standards; champion inclusive language.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: 3+ years of experience writing customer experiences for digital products.
Tool: Proficiency in Figma; ability to work directly in Figma with UX Designers and Product Managers to map user flows, wireframes, and designs.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating how copy contributed to solving specific user challenges.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to present and explain why specific copy was chosen based on data, best practices, or user psychology.
High Attention to Detail: Keen eye for consistency and flawless execution.
Proactive Mindset: Self-driven to identify what needs to happen without direction.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with Localization and global products
Experience with UX research
Strong interest in seller marketplaces
