Overview
Coffee Memorial Blood Center is actively seeking qualified candidates for a position that provides a safe and pleasant blood donation experience for donors. The phlebotomist should be a shining example of superior customer service, professionalism, donor care and technical ability.
Location: Amarillo, TX
Salary and training: Competitive pay based on experience; additional pay for technical school certification, associate degree, bachelor\'s degrees, etc.; additional pay if fluent in Spanish; WORLD CLASS PAID on-the-job training; $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year.

Hours: Varied based on when blood drives are scheduled.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform registration, vitals, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing duties and record keeping duties associated with whole-blood, autologous, directed, therapeutic, testing services, research projects, etc.
Strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures ensuring all blood products are collected within the quality standards set forth by regulatory agencies including the FDA.
Assist supervisor in verifying and completing daily paperwork.
Alert the Supervisor of any problems or concerns when issues arise related to equipment, venipuncture, donor questions/issues or equipment performance.
Continually assess donor needs throughout the donation process, including evaluating and treating donor reactions.
Educate donors on blood facts such as donation frequency and need for blood products.
All other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; college classes are a plus.
Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
On-time, reliable, good communicators, detail oriented, and able to work well with others.
Reliable transportation, working telephone, ability to stand for long periods, and ability to lift 40 lbs regularly.
Driving record with zero points and no moving/traffic violations in the past 3 years (to be provided).
