What You’ll Do:
Review and verify criminal, civil, and other public records as part of rental applicant background screenings
Research and resolve missing or unclear case details using internal systems and public databases
Apply client criteria to determine eligibility while maintaining business and legislative compliance requirements
Accurately document findings and respond to internal questions regarding pending searches, results, or screening guidelines
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, legal studies or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience in research, court records, investigations, or a related area involving criminal or civil court systems
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
Basic understanding of legal or court terminology
Good research and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional and clear communication skills
Commitment to handling confidential information appropriately
Ideal to Have:
Experience in a criminal court, police department, or probation department setting, including internships
Knowledge of the criminal and civil court systems, criminal records, and landlord/tenant civil records
