Sebris Busto James, a boutique labor and employment law firm in Bellevue, Washington, seeks a paralegal with 8+ years of complex civil litigation/trial experience to add to our team. This role is crucial in an exciting, fast-paced litigation practice, with multiple trials scheduled in the coming months.
Our preferred candidate has:
Extremely high attention to detail
Extensive knowledge of and experience with e-discovery and other discovery production, document review and management, and drafting pleadings and discovery
Strong skills in background research and locating/searching court records in other jurisdictions
General knowledge of public records searches and FOIA/Public Records Act requests for state and federal agencies
Expertise in Washington state and federal court rules, e-filing/filing, and calendaring, including local rules and filing requirements throughout the superior courts of the counties of the state of Washington
Advanced computing skills (with proficiency in all aspects of Office 365, including SharePoint)
Confident and calm under pressure
Ability and willingness to do what is needed as required by trial demands
Professional demeanor when communicating on the phone, via email or in person
High organizational and coordinating skills
Willingness to comply with confidentiality obligations and firm policies
