Job Description
The Litigation Paralegal plays a critical role in supporting civil litigation. This position involves conducting legal research, drafting documents, coordinating case management, and assisting with all phases of trial preparation. The paralegal utilizes tools such as LexisNexis, Relativity, Clio, and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline workflows and ensure efficient case progress.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research relevant to civil litigation (insurance defense)
Draft legal documents and correspondence
Manage case files and coordinate multiple cases simultaneously
Communicate effectively with clients and legal team members
Prepare materials and organize evidence for trials
Assist with discovery processes and document review
File pleadings and other documents with the court
Maintain accurate records and filing systems
Coordinate schedules and deadlines for case milestones
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in litigation support
Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
Paralegal Certificate
Proficiency in legal research and case management software
Skilled with document management and trial preparation
Strong knowledge of discovery process and client communication
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
