Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in Danbury, CT. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including, but not limited to, land use, municipal law, tax appeals, civil litigation, and appellate litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients alike. The Paralegal will play a vital role in legal research, document management, and case preparation. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
Assist in drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
Open and manage case files and maintain organized documentation using document management systems
Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance
Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, answering phone calls, attend to the front door, entering attorney time, review and prepare monthly invoices, and coordinating with local municipalities
Assist with litigation preparation, including filing motions and preparing exhibits
Support various areas of law including land use, municipal law, tax appeals, civil litigation, and appellate litigation
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring compliance with legal regulations
Skills

5-7 years of proven paralegal experience in a law office setting
Strong knowledge of legal case management processes and procedures
Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for document review and filing
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Strong clerical experience including data entry and transcription tasks
Effective phone etiquette for client interactions and communications
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal management software
Bilingual in either Spanish or Portuguese, preferred but not required
