
Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR)

AtWork Systems is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) to help accelerate growth of our managed services powered by the OneLynk platform. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on building pipeline, engaging prospects, and creating new business opportunities within the government contracting (GovCon) market.
Responsibilities
Build prospect list, email sequences and execute outbound call plans using tools such as GovTribe, SalesIntel and Nooks, HubSpot
Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to targeted GovCon companies
Identify and qualify decision‑makers, including CFOs, Controllers, and Operations leaders
Clearly articulate the value of AtWork Systems’ managed services and OneLynk platform
Schedule and confirm qualified sales meetings for Account Executives
Maintain accurate records of outreach, activities, and pipeline in CRM (e.g.HubSpot)
Research target accounts and develop strategic outreach plans
Follow up consistently with prospects to nurture interest and move them through the funnel
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on campaigns and messaging optimization
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly meeting‑setting and pipeline targets
Required Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation
Proven track record of booking qualified meetings through cold outreach
Strong communication and phone presence with the ability to engage senior‑level stakeholders
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through
Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools
Self‑starter with a competitive, goal‑oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling into or working with government contractors (GovCon)
Familiarity with SaaS, ERP, or managed services solutions
Understanding of federal contracting environments (FAR, DCAA, etc.)
Key Success Metrics
Number of outbound calls and touches per day/week
Qualified meetings booked per month
Pipeline generated for sales team
Conversion rate from outreach to meeting
