ColonialWebb is looking to add a Sheet Metal Designer to the Virtual Construction team in Richmond, Virginia! If you have previous MEP trade experience, or a design background, we encourage you to apply!

A day in the life:
Coordinates and details work efficiently and in accordance with plans, specifications, and ColonialWebb fabrication standards
Documents and provide marked up submittals to Project Managers showing any modifications or discrepancies related to inline duct and piping devices
Works in a collaborative manner with the respective Project Manager to reduce costs through efficient layout and acceptable changes to contract drawings
Reviews and is familiar with all project documents and thoroughly understands scope of work
Generates full coordination and fabrication drawings and provides all necessary paperwork to complete task - i.e., pounds of metal, accessories, footage, weld inches, feet of pipe, etc.
Provides clear, dimensional, and accurate drawings/spool sheets from fabrication
Visits job sites as necessary to complete work assignments
Attends meetings (project turnover and manufacturing meetings for new and existing projects as requested by Virtual Construction Manager required by job)
You should have:
High level understanding of the trade (sheet metal) relative to commercial and industrial construction
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and understand contract drawings, specs and submittals
Possess basic computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Proficient in CAD detailing and design
Experience with AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks, Fabrication Suite and 3D design
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple projects to meet deadlines
Ability to work with minimal supervision
