Job Summary MorningStar uses social media marketing to deepen relationships with resident families and introduce our brand to broader audiences. This role manages the organic social media presence of our portfolio of 40 senior living communities across 11 states. Working alongside Sales, Marketing, Life Enrichment, and third parties, you will create content strategies that stimulate engagement and grow following across multiple platforms.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage incoming content from communities for organic posting across multiple social platforms (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube).
Help develop content strategies and create social buzz.
Set social media content calendars for the quarter ahead for each platform.
Create social media graphics and captions within brand standards.
Curate and publish original high‑quality content with a regular cadence to drive brand awareness and engagement, including collaboration with video production.
Occasionally travel to communities to capture special event content.
Moderate and respond to user‑generated content in line with MorningStar policy.
Train and mentor community teams on weekly submissions to maintain a cohesive social strategy and encourage participation.
Leverage social media promotions, contests, influencer marketing, audits, infographics, hashtags, memes, and Facebook Live.
Stay current with trends in social/online culture and the senior living industry; apply new technologies and best practices.
Build strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, social SEO, and audience identification to grow our following.
Coordinate with our digital agency for paid and boosted campaigns as needed.
Set quantifiable annual goals for each platform; define, measure, and evaluate relevant KPIs and ROI.
Create monthly performance reports that track community submissions and key metrics against goals, adjusting strategy accordingly.
Strategize blog content with agency writers to increase readership through social engagement.
Write “Superfood of the Month” blog posts for the website.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, New Media, Graphic Design, or related field.
0–1 year of social media and content creation experience or relevant internship, including experience with content management tools.
Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or strong design principles.
Strong copywriting skills in a social‑media‑conducive style with sensitivity to senior issues, spiritual, and philanthropic themes.
