Job Opportunities
The Utilities Director is responsible for the management and operation of the City’s Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Meter Division, Storm Water Monitoring NPDES Program, and underground Utilities Division (Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer system, Storm Sewer system). The Utilities Director assumes management responsibility for all Utilities Department functions, programs, and operations of the city’s water and sewer infrastructure and recommends revisions of these ordinances.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Environmental, Biology, or Chemistry or other related field; five (5) years of supervisory, management, or administrative experience in municipal water and/or sewer activities or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Dual certifications issued from the Ohio EPA with a Class III Water or Wastewater License and a Class I Water or Wastewater license. Or have the ability to obtain a Class I Water or Wastewater license within 12 months of hire.
Special Requirements
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the City’s vehicle insurance provider. Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain a Class IV Water or Wastewater License issued by Ohio EPA within two (2) years of hire into position.
