Prepares detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects with an emphasis on sitework and underground utilities Quantifies earthwork, grading, excavation, trenching, and backfill based on plans and specifications Estimates materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for water, sewer, storm, and utility installations Reviews site conditions, soils reports, and logistics to identify risks and cost impacts Analyzes drawings, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accurate scopes of work Collaborates with project managers, engineers, and vendors to validate pricing and assumptions Supports budgeting, bidding, and value-engineering efforts to improve cost efficiency MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Proven experience as a civil estimator with a strong emphasis on sitework and underground utilities Deep understanding of earthwork, excavation, grading, trenching, and utility installation methods Demonstrated ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs from civil plans and specifications Strong knowledge of water, sewer, storm drain, and utility infrastructure scopes and costs Proficient in estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital takeoff tools Able to evaluate site conditions, soils reports, and constructability risks during pricing Detail-oriented with a track record of producing accurate, competitive bids Strong communication skills for coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors Organized and deadline-driven, capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously Proactive problem-solver who contributes to value engineering and cost-saving strategies Job Offer
