
Sr Partner Development Manager, COE Technology Partnerships, Horizontal Business

Description
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) drives revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers, including the public sector. The role manages elite global AWS technology partners in the business applications segment, helping partners build, market, and sell with AWS by driving C‑level and field sales relationships, guiding the development and launch of joint solutions, and executing joint go‑to‑market plans worldwide.
Key responsibilities
Establish and grow business and technical relationships while managing day‑to‑day partner interactions to drive top‑line revenue growth and overall market adoption of partner solutions on AWS.
Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges within cloud technologies and build compelling value propositions.
Collaborate with highly strategic Global Partners to define and execute joint technology, marketing, and sales initiatives.
Serve as a key member of the AWS alliance team to define and deliver overall go‑to‑market strategy.
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for target markets in line with AWS’s strategic direction; set and manage revenue targets and work to achieve or exceed goals.
Work with internal stakeholders (service teams, marketing, PR, legal, support, etc.) to identify joint customer segments and industry verticals and deliver joint value propositions for using AWS.
Manage complex negotiations, act as liaison to the legal group, and maintain operational rigor—including territory management, account management, and business reviews.
Drive adoption of AWS Marketplace and increase visibility of partner relationships.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
8+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
8+ years of professional or military experience.
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.

Compensation
Base salary range: $162,700.00 – $220,200.00 USD annually (USA, CA, San Francisco).
