
Internal Communications Specialist II

The Internal Communications team is looking for a specialist who will report to a Communications Manager in our Southlake office. This Internal Communications Specialist position offers opportunities to work on diverse communication projects. The primary focus of this role is to support and help execute the various communications projects. The individual will drive employee engagement and related programs, while supporting our Sabre vision to guide the world into the Next Age of Travel. This will be achieved via planning, strategic writing, content/messaging creation, execution of presentations, broadcast emails/logistics, support for all‑hands meetings, comms traffic/analytics management and other ad hoc needs. This hybrid, work‑from‑home/in‑office opportunity will allow the team member to have a flexible approach to their preferred working environment.

Responsibilities include all phases and types of communications development (ad hoc, tactical and strategic) through planning, execution and measurement. Recommend and plan communications strategies, programs or activities that address specific business issues or employee needs and achieve desired results. Expected to create clear, concise, compelling and timely communications that convey key messages tied to business/company goals and foster team member understanding and engagement. Will develop well‑crafted written material for a variety of audiences from leadership to front‑line employees and for various communication channels.
Education
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field.
Experience
Minimum 1-2 years related experience
Experience partnering with internal stakeholders
Interest in managing day-to-day tasks and supporting strategy for company’s communication platform/intranet
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong writing, grammar, attention to detail and editing skills are required
Strong presentation creation skills and use of PowerPoint
Understanding of communications best practices
Experience in strategic communication planning, message development, project management and measurement
Demonstrated ability to produce results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong personal communications skills and ability to interact with and influence people at all levels
Able to set priorities, excel with minimal hand‑holding and preserve confidentiality in dealing with proprietary material
Experience working in MS Teams, Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is a plus
Writing test required during interview process
Very minimal travel required (approximately 1-2 business events per year)
Must have an affinity for the travel and technology industry
