The Sr. Visual Merchandising Designer drives business value by applying creativity and best-in-class visual merchandising standards to develop a wide range of brand-accretive executions and deliverables across multiple retail store formats and assortments, while helping establish and maintain consistent global merchandising standards.
Responsibilities
Develop seasonal, midpoint, and other promotional visual merchandising concepts and executions for retail stores.
Create brand-accretive deliverables and schematics in InDesign across multiple store formats and assortments.
Partner with project managers, business partners, and cross-functional teams to gather input, align on objectives, and incorporate feedback.
Present visual merchandising concepts and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders, including director-level partners.
Participate in reviews, team meetings, and collaborative working sessions as needed throughout the design process.
Support the development and maintenance of consistent global visual merchandising standards.
Contribute to digital marketing-focused initiatives in support of broader brand and merchandising strategies.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience creating high-impact seasonal and core visual merchandising concepts for retail environments, considering store layout, assortment, fixturing, smallwares, and signage to enhance customer experience and buying behavior, while partnering with business and marketing teams and giving strategic guidance on assortments and signage strategies that execute consistently across store formats.
Proficiency in Figma, Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Mac programs, and Adobe Creative Suite, including
InDesign
and Photoshop.
Mastery of visual design, styling, and merchandising principles, with a strong understanding of trends, competition, culture, and the retail landscape.
Strong understanding of integrated marketing and experience working in highly matrixed corporate organizations.
Compelling portfolio showcasing a range of creative visual merchandising projects and solutions.
Excellent presentation, communication, collaboration, time management, and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and build effective cross-functional partnerships.
