Overview
Telegraph is seeking a Brand & Social Strategy Intern to support the intersection of brand strategy, content strategy and social execution.
This is not a traditional internship. You’ll be embedded in real client work, helping shape how brands are positioned, expressed, and experienced across channels.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive and detail-oriented, with a desire to understand not just what gets made, but why it works.
This in-office position is located in Birmingham, AL.
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Brand
Conduct market, audience and competitive research
Support development of brand positioning and messaging frameworks
Assist in writing creative briefs and strategic inputs
Participate in discovery sessions, brainstorms and naming exercises
Social & Content
Assist in building social content calendars grounded in strategy
Conduct trend and platform research to inform content decisions
Support community management and engagement
Collaborate with creative team to execute content aligned to brand voice
Manage content scheduling via platforms like HeyOrca
Measurement & Insights
Pull and analyze performance data and reporting metrics
Identify insights and optimization opportunities
Monitor competitors, trends and cultural signals
What We’re Looking For
Someone pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field
Strong interest in brand strategy, social media and digital marketing
Excellent organization, communication and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
A proactive mindset – takes initiative and flags issues early
Well-versed in trends and policies across platforms, such as LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube and X
Experience with tools like Google Analytics, HeyOrca or Hootsuite is a plus
