If this aligns with your values and you want to join a leader in the banking industry, we are hiring for a Credit Card Lender I that will perform and provide ongoing support for the credit card underwriting process, evaluates business credit applications and consumer credit applications, and associated financial documents for credit approval. Also assists with the Business Credit Line Increase portfolio.
Major Duties/Accountabilities
Analyzes incoming credit card applications and line increases and takes appropriate action including making the credit decision to approve or decline.
Reviews and makes appropriate credit determination for the new account segment.
Completes underwriting and loan presentations for higher limit approval.
Supports other phases of application processing including credit bureau related inquiries.
Maintains workflow and communicates issues for the department.
Initiates outbound telephone calls to banks, service providers, cardholders, and applicants; handles inbound telephone calls and incoming correspondence.
Provides ongoing maintenance for accounts and supports the archiving of files and records.
Assists in the review of departmental reports including the renewal and reissue of existing accounts.
Complies with all banking laws and regulations, and maintains the confidentiality of bank and customer information.
Requirements/Desired Qualifications
Required
Experience analyzing/processing consumer/corporate credit applications, preferably credit cards
Ability to function as a resource and escalation point for credit bureau related inquiries; ability to act independently as well as a member of a team
Experience providing quality service with a high level of dependability and adaptability
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
3 years prior work experience in a financial institution
