What You’ll Bring to Spectrum News NECN
Required Qualifications

Experience : Television news anchoring - 5-7 years

Education : Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience

Technical Skills : Experience in live shooting and editing news

Skills : Excellent on-air camera skills, ability to work under pressure

Abilities : Leadership skills, capable of managing multiple priorities as well as a proactive problem-solver, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds

Travel Ability : Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community

Schedule : Work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies and able to work weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a 24-hour news channel

Working Conditions

Works inside in a climate-controlled environment but may be assigned to field duties and be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
The base pay for this position generally is between $155,000.00 and $220,000.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
