**THE ROLE** : The **Outside Sales Territory Manager** will be responsible for selling **Smith-Blair's products to distributers and end users within a territory that includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, The Florida Panhandle and Western Tennessee.** Successful candidate will be required to live somewhere within the assigned territory. The Territory Manager will generate and develop new channel partners while maintaining healthy relationships with current partners.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
**Responsible for new accounts development and/or expanding existing accounts within the distribution or retail sales channel.**
**Responsible for creating an awareness and demand for company products.**
**Must have a thorough knowledge of clamp and coupling products and their associated applications.**
**Must have the ability to plan sales effort to thoroughly cover assigned geographic territory and penetrate available markets.**
**Manages sales efforts to improve profitability.**
**Direct sales efforts to have Smith-Blair product features specified by end user customers.**
**Develop and manage territory sales AOP and expense AOP.**
**Solve sales and product problems/issues in assigned territory.**
**Improve and maintain customer relation s with all major accounts and distributors within territory.**
**Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.**
**Other ad-hoc duties and analyses as needed.**
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
**Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in sales**
**Minimum 3+ years Outside Sales experience.**
**Knowledge of hydraulic, water flow, water, wastewater is a plus.**
**Proven presentation and communication skills including face-to-face interaction.**
**Must have strong math skills.**
**Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power/Point), Oracle based system experience desired.**
**Must have effective interpersonal skills with customers, employees, and management team.**
**Previous experience in the use of** **Salesforce.com or other CRM's is required.**
**Ability to present product education seminars to groups of 20-40 people is a must.**
**Ability to meet and continuously maintain authorization to operate a company vehicle** **.**
**Travel requirement at 60%**
**SALARY & BENEFITS**
The estimated salary range for the position is $80,000 - $100,000 plus bonus. Starting salary is dependent on multiple factors including skills, experience and work location.
