Student: Digital Marketing Assistant

Join the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) team, where you'll contribute to groundbreaking innovations! We are seeking a proactive, motivated, and creative Digital Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing department. The selected candidate will support content creation and marketing initiatives across multiple platforms while gaining exposure to content strategy, audience targeting, and brand messaging. This role is ideal for a student who is eager to grow professionally in marketing and communications and passionate about storytelling, strategic communication, and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Concept, develop, and execute creative marketing ideas

Write and edit digital and print content (website, social media, video, brochures, etc.)

Translate technical information into clear, engaging, and digestible content

Contribute fresh ideas for campaigns, messaging, and visual storytelling

Collaborate with team members while also managing independent projects

Support marketing efforts aimed at promoting capabilities and services to core audiences

Participate in team discussions and actively contribute marketing insights

Required Qualifications:

Must be enrolled at Utah State University and pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, English, Media, Communications, or a related field

Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer

Strong background and demonstrated experience in writing, grammar, and editing

Ability to think strategically and creatively

Basic experience in multi-platform content creation

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Ability to create content with and without AI tools

Strong organizational and time management skills

Self-motivated, responsive, and eager to learn

Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Basic design knowledge and a strong visual eye
