Summary
While working under moderate supervision, the Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and concise documentation to support production and engineering activities. This includes developing step-by-step work instructions, process documentation, and related technical materials for multiple product lines.

Essential Duties

Create production work instructions and step-by-step assembly documentation.

Gather information from engineers, technicians, and SMEs to develop accurate technical content.

Translate technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.

Create and incorporate diagrams, photos, and visual aids to support instructions.

Review, edit, and update documents to reflect engineering changes and process updates.

Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and production requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, English, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience creating technical, manufacturing, or engineering documentation preferred.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, Bills of Material, and technical references.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, clear, and concise documents including work instructions, assembly drawing for production and tooling, guides, and tutorials.

Translate technical jargon into plain, understandable language suited for production and assembly.

Ability to gather and organize technical information from multiple sources.

Basic ability to work with images or graphics for documentation.

Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering and Production teams.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
