Permanent Physician - Cardiac Anesthesiology

Position Details:
Patient Population: Primarily Adult and Geriatric (some Pediatric)
Setting: Inpatient Heart Center / OR
Responsibilities: Provide anesthesia care for cardiac and vascular procedures, perform pre-op and post-op management, collaborate with cardiac surgery team, and support development of anesthesia protocols
Required Procedures: Cardiac anesthesia for CABG, valve replacements, complex cardiac surgeries, ECHO-related procedures
EMR System: Not Specified
Support Staff: Cardiac surgeons, anesthesia team, nursing support
Days Per Month: Full-time schedule
On-Call/Weekends: 1:5 call rotation, first call every eighth night, no second call
Submission Requirements:
* Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
* ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Fellowship Trained
* New York License or willingness to obtain
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS required by start
* NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
* H-1B candidates accepted (No J-1 waivers)
* Candidate must not be within 30 miles of facility for name clear
* Strong cardiac anesthesia experience preferred
