Connect Advisors is a rapidly growing Owner’s Representative firm focused on delivering complex construction projects with precision, accountability, and a client-first mindset. As a Marketing and Business Development Manager, you will lead marketing and business development initiatives that strengthen our brand, support client relationships, and position the firm in key markets.
This is a strategic and collaborative role where you will oversee proposals, presentations, and marketing campaigns, while ensuring consistency in messaging and brand across all platforms. You will partner with leadership and project teams to align marketing efforts with business development priorities, track pipeline activity, and support pursuit strategies. Additionally, you will help refine marketing processes, tools, and reporting to support scalability as the firm continues to grow.

Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Work with the Director of Growth and Advancement in the development and execution of the firm’s marketing strategy to support overall growth objectives and market positioning.
Oversee brand consistency across all platforms, ensuring messaging aligns with Connect Advisors’ value proposition and target markets.
Manage the creation of marketing materials, including proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, and digital content.
Business Development & Pipeline Management
Partner with leadership to drive business development efforts, including identifying target clients, markets, and strategic opportunities.
Manage and track the BD pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive), ensuring accurate reporting and visibility into opportunities.
Support pursuit strategies, including go
o-go decisions, interview preparation, and client engagement planning.
Proposals & Pursuits
Work with the Director of Growth and Advancement on end-to-end proposal management, including content development, team coordination, scheduling, and final deliverables.
Collaborate with technical staff to translate project experience and expertise into compelling, client-focused messaging.
Continuously refine proposal templates, processes, and content libraries to improve efficiency and quality.
Content & Brand Management
Oversee development of content across social media, website, and email campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Maintain and evolve brand standards, ensuring consistent use of messaging, visuals, and tone.
Manage and organize marketing assets, templates, and collateral for firm-wide use.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Develop and monitor key marketing and business development metrics, including pipeline activity, win rates, and campaign performance.
Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership to inform strategy and decision-making.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with Managing Directors and the Director of Growth and Advancement to align marketing efforts with project pursuits and client needs.
Provide direction and oversight to junior marketing staff or coordinators as applicable.
Process Improvement & Systems
Work with the Director of Growth and Advancement to improve marketing and BD processes, tools, and workflows to support scalability and consistency.
Identify and implement systems that enhance efficiency, tracking, and communication across the firm.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in marketing and/or business development, preferably within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry or professional services environment.
Proficiency in design and content tools, including
Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and
Canva .
Strong understanding of business development strategy, pipeline management, and client engagement processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce)
Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), and basic website content management systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
