Job Description Bachelors or Masters degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact supporting students as a School Psychologist in the Washington DC area (just 45 minutes south of the city)! This full-time contract position runs from August 11, 2026, to May 26, 2027, offering the opportunity to work on-site across two school locations. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm, with a consistent 37.5-hour work week. As a valued member of the school community, your work focuses on assessment, consultation, and supporting FBA/BIP processes. You may also provide occasional MTSS and limited counseling collaborations with social workers. With Educational Diagnosticians in every building, you’ll be able to concentrate on your psych skillset—no academic achievement testing required. Desired Qualifications:Active VA Department of Education Certification Virginia School Psychologist Licensure Previous school-based experience preferred Ability to start VA Department of Social Services background check promptly VA TB testing compliance Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with assessments and behavior intervention plans (FBA/BIP) Comfort consulting with staff and supporting MTSS initiatives Key Responsibilities:Conduct assessments and consult with educators and families Provide expertise for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans Collaborate on MTSS implementation as needed Partner with social workers on student counseling cases (minimal) Maintain thorough documentation in line with district guidelines Enjoy the advantages of a structured schedule, the chance to enhance your skillset within a collaborative setting, and the fulfillment that comes from helping students succeed.
