Bachelors or Masters degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting students across two school locations near the Washington DC area (approximately 45 minutes south of the city). This full-time, on-site position runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (37.5 hours per week).
Your expertise will be valued as you provide assessment and consultation services, support Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and collaborate with educational teams to enhance student outcomes. While academic achievement testing is managed separately, your primary responsibilities will focus on psychological assessment, consultation for staff and families, and occasional support for counseling or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Qualifications and Experience:Current Virginia Department of Education CertificationValid Virginia School Psychologist LicenseAbility and willingness to undergo the Virginia Department of Social Services credentialing and complete a required TB Test promptlyGrowth-oriented mindset with 0-10+ years’ school psychology experience; compensation reflects your level of experienceStrong skills in assessment, consultation, FBA/BIP development, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological assessments and consultations for referred studentsDevelop and support FBA/BIP as neededOffer occasional counseling support in collaboration with social workersParticipate in MTSS and work with staff to promote student success Working on-site within a supportive school environment, you’ll gain the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students and staff.
