About the role
We are seeking a skilled Python API Developer to design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs that power data-driven applications and integrations. This role will focus on enabling seamless connectivity between cloud platforms, data pipelines, and machine learning services, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-documented solutions.
In this role, you will:
API Development: Design and develop Python-based REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
Integration: Connect APIs with backend components including Databricks, Snowflake, and ML model endpoints, collaborating closely with Data Engineers and Architects.
Security & Reliability: Implement robust API security using OAuth2/JWT, with standardized error handling, logging, and monitoring.
Cloud Deployment: Build AWS Lambda functions and integrate them with API Gateway; containerize APIs and deploy to Kubernetes for scalability.
Documentation: Develop and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications to ensure clear API contracts and ease of consumption.
Observability: Utilize tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog to monitor performance and maintain system health.
Work model
Onsite. Hybrid position open to qualified applicants in United States, requesting 5 days at office per week.
What you need to have to be considered:
Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Flask) and REST API development.
Hands‑on experience with OAuth2/JWT authentication.
Expertise in AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and containerized API deployments.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Knowledge of healthcare claims formats (837, X12).
Experience with observability tools (CloudWatch, DataDog).

These will help you stand out:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Exposure to data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
Understanding of ML model integration within API ecosystems.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
Salary and compensation
The annual salary will be between $65,000 and $135,000 depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for discretionary annual incentive and stock awards.
