Job Description Bachelors or Masters degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference in students’ lives by providing critical psychological support across two schools near Fredericksburg, VA. This full-time, on-site contract position begins August 11, 2026 and continues through May 26, 2027, with a schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. As a valued school psychologist, you’ll work closely with students and multidisciplinary teams to foster inclusive, supportive learning environments. Key Qualifications:Active Virginia DOE certification (required)Active Virginia Psychologist License (required)Ability to initiate the VA Department of Social Services background check promptly and secure a current TB testExperience in a school setting preferred (support provided for those with less than two years)Strong skills in student assessment, consultation, and providing behavioral support (FBA/BIP)Comfortable collaborating with staff and social workers as neededHigh level of professional integrity and excellent communication skills Primary Responsibilities:Conduct thorough psychological assessments for PK-12 studentsParticipate in developing and supporting Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention PlansOffer consultation services to teachers, staff, and familiesSupport Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)Collaborate with educational diagnosticians (no academic achievement testing required)Occasionally assist social workers with counseling when needed This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with students who benefit from your care and specialized expertise.
