Overview Sr Network Engineer SME — Onsite location: NYC, Grand Central Station, couple times a week. Duration: 1 Year contract. No 3rd PARTIES or Sponsorships.
Responsibilities Looking for a senior engineer caliber with architectural design capabilities. The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, highly available network infrastructure across data center, campus, branch, and cloud environments. This role will leverage deep Cisco networking expertise to ensure resilient connectivity, optimized performance, and strong security posture for business-critical applications.
Skills MUST have SD-WAN (Cisco, Meraki, or equivalent).
Software-defined networking (e.g., Cisco SD-Access, ACI, VXLAN/EVPN).
Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Engineer with Cisco Catalyst center background
Client facing
Skills Nice to Have Background in regulated or security-sensitive environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, legal).
Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
