Network Architect / Senior Network Engineer Job at presidio in Houston

Presidio is seeking an experienced Network Architect / Senior Network Engineer to support a client in Nashville, TN. This role provides architectural and engineering support across our client’s data communications environment, collaborating closely with the Information Technology Services team. Hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands‑on experience in routing, switching, wireless, security, and enterprise networking, with the ability to design, support, and troubleshoot complex environments. Key Responsibilities Serve as a network architect/engineering resource supporting the client’s data communications team Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including: Routing and switching LAN/WAN technologies Wireless networking Network security Provide ongoing operational support, troubleshooting, and optimization Review and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and documentation Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle planning Work closely with client staff and Presidio stakeholders Provide on‑site support at client facilities as required Support remote troubleshooting via VPN and other secure access methods Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or architecture Strong expertise in routing and switching (Route/Switch focus) Experience supporting large, complex network environments Hands‑on experience with: LAN/WAN design and support Wireless networking Network security concepts and best practices Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Strong documentation and communication skills Duration: 12 months
