## Job Description# Network EngineerApex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE **Cisco Network Engineer** for our client based out of **Greensboro, NC**.* Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure supporting both LAN and WAN environments.* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless solutions.* Administer and support next‐generation firewall solutions, with a focus on Palo Alto platforms and security policies.* Monitor network performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.* Support network segmentation, routing, switching, and firewall rule design to meet performance and security requirements.* Perform network upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with change‐management processes.* Collaborate with security, systems, and application teams to support infrastructure initiatives and integrations.* Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple environments.* Contribute to network documentation, standards, and best‐practice development.* Participate in architecture discussions and provide input on future network and security enhancements.* 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.* Strong hands‐on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, VLANs, WAN, VPN).* Proven experience configuring and supporting Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management and troubleshooting.* Solid understanding of network security principles and traffic‐flow analysis.* Experience working with firewalls, VPNs, and secure network segmentation.* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‐functional teams.* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.*Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
