We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with hands‑on experience in managing and optimizing data center network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco Nexus 9000 (N9K) and 55A1 switches, Layer 2/3 networking protocols, and network security best practices.
This role involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining high‑availability network environments, as well as collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities Configure, monitor, and manage Cisco Nexus 9000 and 55A1 switches in a high‑availability environment.
Administer and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Ensure network reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.
Collaborate on data center network design and implement best practices for architecture and security.
Utilize tools like Cisco Prime and SolarWinds for network monitoring and performance analysis.
Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 1, 2, and 3 network issues.
Maintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams and configuration templates.
Work with systems, storage, and security teams to ensure integrated infrastructure support.
Participate in on‑call rotations for 24/7 network support.
Stay current with networking technologies and assist in planning network upgrades.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center network administration.
Hands‑on experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 Series (N9K) and 55A1 switches.
Proficiency in Layer 2/3 technologies: VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN.
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, PRTG).
Strong understanding of network security practices including ACLs, VPNs, and segmentation.
Familiarity with network automation tools such as Ansible or Python scripting.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cisco DCNM and network orchestration.
Exposure to hybrid cloud networking and integration with virtualized environments.
Certifications Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – Highly Preferred
Additional certifications in network security or automation (e.g., CCNP Data Center, CompTIA Network+) – Preferred
