Overview

Position Title: Network Engineer
Position Level: Level 2 – Expert
Salary: Up to $225,000.00 per year
Core Hours: 9am to 4pm
Location: Chantilly, VA
Responsibilities
Support a technology-based program for a key customer, delivering engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage systems.
Provide enterprise computing engineering services for modern applications, containerized solutions, and orchestrated workflows that operate on customer premises and via remote Cloud services.
Engineer network infrastructure, including core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls, and bandwidth service delivery.
Operate in a fast-paced environment on a high-profile government program, contributing to recruitment and solution delivery of top talent.
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements: knowledge and experience across a range of levels (Developmental 0-2 years, Full Performance 3-5 years, Senior 6-10 years, Expert 11-15 years, SME 16+ years).
Active 11+ years of network engineering experience (minimum).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees preferred in related disciplines.
Experience with commercial cloud service providers (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) including building VPCs with Linux VMs, configuring them as network appliances, and meeting cybersecurity standards.
Experience configuring and hardening Linux OS in cloud and physical environments.
Experience configuring and hardening network gear (firewalls, switches, routers, IPS).
Experience with commercial VPNs and with commercial messaging applications (CMA) and Android tablets.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently after hours and on weekends (on-call support).
Optional Requirements
Experience deploying CNGA internet network infrastructure and understanding the customer’s mission.
Working knowledge of customer core appliances and services, including their networks.
