Overview Position requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph. Labor Category: Network Engineer. Position Title: Network Engineer. Position Level: Level 2 – Expert. Salary: Up to $225,000.00 per year. Core Hours: 9am to 4pm. Location: Chantilly, VA.
We are looking for experienced Network Engineers to support a government program that delivers engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing infrastructure, including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage systems. The program covers modern application technology with containerized solutions and orchestrated workflow, functioning on customer premises and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering includes core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls, and bandwidth service delivery. This is a fast-paced, challenging role offering opportunities to recruit, develop, and deliver top talent and solutions on a high-profile government program.
Responsibilities Contribute to engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing environments.
Support containerized applications and orchestrated workflows in cloud and on-premises environments.
Work on network analytics, security controls (firewalls, VPNs, IPS), and bandwidth service delivery.
Provide after-hours and weekend troubleshooting and call-in support as needed.
Qualifications Minimum 11 years of network engineering experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred in related disciplines.
Experience with commercial cloud service providers (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, AWS): building out VPCs, Linux VMs, and configuring them as network appliances with security hardening.
Experience configuring and hardening Linux OS in cloud and physical environments.
Experience configuring and hardening network gear (firewalls, switches, routers, IPS).
Experience with commercial VPNs and with commercial messaging applications (CMA) and Android tablets.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently after hours and on weekends.
Optional Qualifications Experience deploying CNGA internet network infrastructure and understanding customer mission.
Working knowledge of customer core appliances/services and networks.
Special Requirements Ability to obtain necessary clearances; details to be discussed during interview.
