Wells Fargo is hiring a Network Engineer to support enterprise network infrastructure. The position involves assisting with installation, maintenance, and operational support of networking systems while ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across services.
Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Support Participate in the installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Assist end users with technical issues related to hardware and applications.
Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and resolve operational problems.
Integrate and maintain network services including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and network security components.
Operations and Process Management Follow established operational procedures and network best practices.
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with administrative processes such as change management and ticket updates.
Apply security and regulatory policies when designing and implementing network solutions.
Monitoring and Incident Management Monitor alerts and network events using NMS tools across technologies such as F5, Cisco, Fortinet, Voice, and SD-WAN.
Perform initial diagnosis, troubleshooting, and incident ticket creation.
Acknowledge and respond to alerts within defined SLAs and MTTA timelines.
Resolve Level-1 network incidents using defined runbooks and SOPs.
Troubleshooting and Escalation Carry out basic troubleshooting for routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN connectivity issues.
Assist in identifying false alerts and contribute to noise reduction activities.
Escalate issues to L2 or L3 teams following proper processes and communication channels.
Documentation and Collaboration Update incident tickets with accurate notes, logs, and resolution details.
Maintain and improve L1 documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with global NOC or NMC teams during shift handovers.
Provide timely updates to stakeholders during active incidents.
Participate in team discussions, quality reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
Technical Skills and Knowledge Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
Familiarity with Cisco IOS or ASA, Fortinet platforms, and F5 technologies.
Exposure to monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or FortiAnalyzer.
Basic knowledge of VPN technologies and firewall rules.
