We are seeking a Systems & Network Engineer to support and enhance a growing enterprise infrastructure within a high-growth engineering and manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who thrives in evolving environments and enjoys building, improving, and scaling systems.
This position is primarily systems-focused with exposure to networking, serving as a key contributor to infrastructure development, operational maturity, and overall environment stability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and virtualized environments (Hyper‑V)
Support and improve physical and virtual server infrastructure
Assist with network‑related initiatives including VPNs, firewalls, and switching (not primary owner)
Manage backups, disaster recovery, patching, and system hardening
Monitor system performance and perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts
Support SQL environments and related infrastructure needs
Contribute to cybersecurity improvements , including vulnerability management and access controls
Help build and mature IT processes, documentation, and operational standards
Assist in the development and improvement of ticketing systems and IT workflows
Provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure‑related issues
Support onboarding/offboarding and system provisioning
Participate in infrastructure scaling efforts to support rapid company growth
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems administration and infrastructure engineering
Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and virtualization (Hyper‑V)
Experience with network infrastructure (VPNs, firewalls, switching)
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
Working knowledge of SQL
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and access controls
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and wear multiple hats
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting CAD environments (SolidWorks, PDM)
Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
Familiarity with growth‑stage or mid‑market environments
Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or networking/security) are a plus
Ideal Candidate
